A founding partner of McGuire & Co., Herbert has been in public practice in Charleston since 1964.  He is a past president of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and a past member of the AICPA Council.  He is a member of the Rotary Club of Charleston and is a double Paul Harris Fellow.  His primary areas of practice are general business and income tax planning and consulting.  Herbert was awarded a B.S. from the University of South Carolina with a major in accounting. 

Also a founding partner, Diane supervises the accounting and tax services provided by the firm.  She has more than twenty years of practice experience with a variety of small, closely held businesses, especially in the construction industry, as well as a variety of other industries.  She oversees the Firm's specialty in retirement consulting, estate planning, and general personal financial planning.  Diane holds a B.S.  from the College of Charleston.  She graduated summa cum laude.

Sharon Hartley became a member of the firm in January 2003. She has been with McGuire & Co. since 1996. She graduated magna cum laude from the College of Charleston with a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration. Sharon's areas of practice include reviews and compilations of financial statements, tax planning and income tax preparation to include individual, business, estate and trusts.

Janet joined McGuire & Co. in October 2005.  She brings with her over 20 years administrative and bookkeeping experience with public accounting firms.  Janet is responsible for the firm's payroll, related personnel functions, billing and collection.  She also assists with scanning, filing, prepping and final processing of tax returns as well as general office support.
